Who we are
ALFI Global (the Pan-African Institute for Education, Languages, Cultures and Opportunities) operates this website from Accra, Ghana. It covers alfiglobal.org, including the Educational Consultancy and ALFI Magazine sections.

What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us:
- Enquiry and callback forms — your name, email address, phone number and the message you write.
- Admissions applications — the learner's name, contact details, the language and programme you are interested in, and any notes you add.
- Consultancy and language-service requests — your name, organisation, the service required, deadlines, and any brief or document you attach.
- Editorial submissions — your name, email, organisation, pitch and any file you upload.
- Newsletter — your name, email address and stated interest.
- Technical data — your IP address is used only to rate-limit form submissions and block automated abuse. It is stored as a one-way hash and expires automatically.
We do not ask for payment card details, national identity numbers or passwords anywhere on this website.
Why we use it
We use what you send us to answer your enquiry, assess a placement, prepare a quotation, review an editorial pitch, or send the newsletter you asked for. We do not use your details for any unrelated purpose, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. A single session cookie is set only when a member of ALFI staff signs in to the control centre; it is required for that sign-in to work and carries no profiling data.
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers to fetch them.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and applications are kept for as long as they are operationally useful and then removed. Files you upload are stored outside the public web root and can only be read by an authenticated member of ALFI staff. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Who can see it
Submissions are visible only to ALFI staff with an account in our control centre, and each account is limited to the areas that person needs. Every change and every file download is recorded in an audit log.
We use ordinary technical safeguards: encrypted connections, hashed passwords, prepared database statements, upload type checking and protection against cross-site request forgery.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by replying to any issue or emailing us. Write to info@alfiglobal.org and we will respond as quickly as we reasonably can.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date above.
